Birth Doula Services

I am delighted to offer birth doula services to families birthing in Utah and Salt Lake counties. I started attending births in 2014 and was so inspired by that work that I decided to pursue a PhD. My research focused on people’s experiences during pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period. I was especially interested in how people manage postpartum mood disorders and build communities of care beyond the doctor’s office.

I completed by degree in 2021 and am so pleased to return to supporting Utah families as they move through pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum, and all of the transitions along the way. It would be my honor to support you as you welcome your little one into your family. And since I only take one birth client a month, you can count on me to always be available when you need me.

I have experience supporting families during unmedicated and medicated births in hospitals, birth centers, and home environments. I also have experience supporting people during surgical births.

Learn more about Raven

Raven was the cheerleader we needed to make the birth of our son exactly what we had hoped for.

Thanks to the team at Beehive Birth Care, we felt more at ease pursuing our dream of an unmedicated birth. Raven was the cheerleader we needed to make the birth of our son exactly what we had hoped for. Her experience, soothing voice, calm demeanor, knowledge, and amazing counterpressure made a REAL DIFFERENCE. Thank you so much. When our baby will become a big brother, we will make sure to have Beehive Birth Care be part of our birth team again.

We consider them part of our family now.

The doulas at Beehive Birth Care are amazing at what they do - we weren't going to hire a doula but the second we met them we knew we needed them and wanted them to be a part of our birth story. Being a first time mom and labor, their support and experience were just what we needed to calm nerves and provide comfort. We consider them part of our family now and look forward to their support when we have baby number two!
